This bike is AMAZING! I am not an avid cyclist and was worried about balancing with a 5 and 8 yo on the back but it is not difficult at all. Even at very slow speeds I donât feel wobbly at all. I get so many compliments and the bike has so much utility. It was totally worth the investment.

I’ve had this bike for 4 weeks now and have already put over 300 miles on it. My car sits largely abandoned in the driveway, and the daily exercise has been amazing! I have two kids, 5 and 8, and they can both easily ride on the back at the same time with the Monkey Bars. I live in a mountain town in Colorado and the ride to school and summer camps is 800 vertical feet down with brutal grades. Even with both kids on the back plus their stuff I can make it up the hill with relative ease. The brakes do a great job on the way down, although you can definitely smell them with a full load!
I highly getting the front basket plus a cargo net, as it makes the bike so much more useful with kids on the back. Another great upgrade was thin adhesive felt wrapped around where the foot rests and Monkey Bars insert into the larger fittings, as it eliminates rattle while still allowing easy removal. I’m 6’3″, so I added a longer 90mm stem that really helps with fit.

I live in a small city in CA. We have flat roads throughout the city and a basic bike infrastructure. Large Chevys and Fords rule the roads. Enter the Spicy Curry ATâŠ..I haul two kids to school, get myself to work (in a suit and tie), shove my bike in an elevator and store it downstairs. I love the power and sturdiness of this bike, but more so I love the statement it makes. The bike is large enough to command attention and I often turn heads as I roll down my daily route. This bike inspires people to think differently about how they commute and have fun while doing it. I am case in point!

Probably the most fun thing I have ever bought, bike or not. I use the Spicy Curry AT to get around town or go up into the mountains for some fun. It does great for both use cases. Feels like this bike was made for Boulder, CO (where I reside). It has become my daily driver for in town errands, and my son demands we go for rides pretty much every day. It is the pick up truck of bikes. Cant wait to add another seat when my daughter is old enough to ride!

Highlights: great to ride, power is good, cargo is lower and secure in the back, thudbuster seat post is a nice addition, it’s fun!
Lowlights: Security: 1. Yuba does not provide or suggest lockable thru axles and when I asked if they could be replaced officially said only the factory provided thru axles can be used. 2. To use the trip computer as a key you have to separately pay Bosch another $9. Not a huge deal but it’s an expensive bike, why isn’t this included. Bell/Horn: it comes with a really weak manual bell, I’d like to see a louder integrated electric horn
Overlooked: I thought the stem would be the same (adjustable) one as on the Spciy Curry V3. I overlooked on this bike it is not and it is fixed. As a taller person this missing height on the stem is disappointing.
Sizing: I’m 6ft2 and this bike is borderline too small/agressive for me in terms of fit/posture.

Really amazing work of engineering. I am using it with my disabled daughter on the back (mini and medium pad + 2 rings and floorboards) and she loves it. It is very stable and in turbo mode a true hill eating beast. I am acheiving the stated range and the 500W battery system is great.
The 2Go bags are great for hauling lots of stuff but I wanted to keep the front of the floor boards free for a foot rest so I searched and found that the Basil Go Double Bag panniers fit perfectly.
My only complaint is that the rear derailleur hangs so close to the ground that it is very easy to get rock strikes ridding off-road, this can then jar the shift cable free leaving you stuck in top gear. Also the rear tail light wiring is thin gauge and exposed, mine pulled out of the tail light house, redering it inoperable after two rides.
Overall all could not be more pleased with this bike and highly reccomend it.

Incredible bike. My wife and I saved up for months to afford some cargo bikes, and by the time we were ready to rock this bad boy had just come out. It handles the hills and off road terrain I encounter in Utah extremely well, and itâs made riding everywhere 10x more fun.

Total love affair. Thatâs what we have with our spicy curry AT! This bike is an incredible machine. I totally underestimated how much I would love it. Weâve been eyeing the spicy curry for SO long and when this AT version came out thought it would offer a better fit for our needs. We ride a fair bit of gravel/not well maintained asphalt roads. The suspension and tires make tackle it like a DREAM! My husband has taken our 5 year old son up a steep, technical single track trail up a mountain in our neighborhood and went camping (plenty of room for gear) they had so much fun and my husband said the bike was a total animal. Super fun to just cruise down to get ice cream or bet from our favorite shop/brewery too (me, hubby, 5 yr son and 1 yr baby girl in the Yepp seat ALL fit comfortably!
CANT BRAG enough about how awesome this bike is! Just wish we could afford another! Please keep these in production so we can save some money up!

Impressive is such an understatement. This bike is an absolute animal and then some. I have now owned the Spicy Curry AT for about two weeks. In that time i have ridden up and down numerous fire road that include steep loose switch backs ( I live in Socal) with large water bars, up or down in does not matter; this “bike” or as i like to say “BEAST” is a cold hearted terrain killer. Oh and did i forget to mention all this with my four year girl on the back. I have also tackled moderate single track, The bike is truly a MTNcargo. Yuba thank you!!!!!!!
Authors note: my other bike is a 180/177mm travel bike i jump and ride technical descents with, when I say the Spicy curry AT can handle Steep terrain i mean it, a freak of bike nature.

Amazing bike! I love my commuter e-bike but once COVID hit I decided to pick this up instead for hauling my 3yo and 6yo around on mini-adventures.
The only other cargo bike I have tried is the Rad Wagon and that thing feels like a lead weight compared to this. Not just physical weight but also the handling. I wasn’t a fan seeing the Suntour front fork as I grew up with nothing but fox and Rockshox but the adjustability is actually pretty good and is working well for the gravel and packed dirt trails that we ride.
Class 3 speed -This is what sold me on the bike. I still want to commute and top end assist up to 20mph wasn’t going to cut it on my 17 mile commute each way in our hilly Pacific Northwest terrain. This bike isn’t going to be as fast as my last commuter-specific class 3 bike but I knew this going into it. Even though this bike is Class 3, your legs are spinning pretty fast once you get up to 28mph. Its all worth it though for all the torque you get so I imagine this bike is geared for the weight. I’m a car guy so i f you can relate, its like 3.73 vs. 4.10 gears. With both kids on the bike I went straight to the steepest trail around, known as heart-attack hill for good reason and this bike went up it in first gear and turbo mode without breaking a sweat. Its a hill I had no chance with on my last commuter and always had to use walk mode, and that’s with just me, and no kids.
So where does this bike lose a star?
1. I had to build the bike myself since I bought during COVID and couldn’t get a shop to do it. I’ve built several in the past from BikesDirect so I figured it shouldn’t be a problem. However, there were little to no instructions. For the price I figured there would be top notch install instructions but I was wrong. I had to use bits of the guide for the standard Spicy Curry along with visualizing how things looked in the promo video of the AT. Needless to say, they redesigned a few things since they made the promo video such as the mounting point of the headlight and display.
2. This isn’t Yuba’s fault but its that of Suntour. The front Thru Axle has a very “innovative” design which is overly complicated for its purpose. The first time I touched it an E-clip went flying and the rest of the axle fell to pieces in my hand. Luckily I found the E-clip and put it back together. Yuba support did an amazing job sending me pictures, links, and videos on how the thing works. Now I get it but its not intuitive if you are unfamiliar with the QLoc system.
In conclusion, would I buy it again? Oh heck yeah! My kids will only be young once and I love the fact that we get to share so many experiences riding together and experiencing what our local forests have to offer.
