The Roots is cable-actuated and features a hand-operated lever located in the cockpit to deploy the kickstand. When ready, pull the lever down and each leg of the Roots drops to the ground simultaneously “rooting” the bike. Then when setting off with the bike loaded up, just roll forward and the Roots folds up out of the way.
At 30″ wide it brings unparalleled stability when the kids are climbing on when loading up your cargo and a big benefit that the system brings is that you don’t have to get off the bike to deploy the kick-stand.
