Lagunitas Beer Sanctuary Presents the 2nd Annual Brews and Bites for Bounty

Petaluma, California – June 1, 2013 – Lagunitas Beer Sanctuary announces Brews and Bites for Bounty, a fundraising event for Petaluma Bounty on Tuesday, July 16, 2012 from 5:30 to 8:30 pm.

The event features entertainment by The Highway Poets, an award-winning Northern California band, well known for its lively blend of rock, folk, and indie music. A raffle will be held for a Yuba Mundo Cargo Bike, valued at $1,250. The bike is generously donated by Petaluma-based Yuba Bikes.

Tickets are $25.00, which includes wood-fired pizza from Pizza Politana, Bounty Farm-grown salad, and drink token. Children under six years old will be admitted free of charge. Event tickets may be purchased in advance from the Petaluma Bounty website, www.petalumabounty.org, and will also be available at the door. Proceeds from Brews and Bites for Bounty will support Petaluma Bounty’s programs to make healthy food available to everyone.

Through a strategic alliance with Petaluma People Service Center (PPSC) and the help of hundreds of volunteers, Petaluma Bounty provides sustainably grown food to the Petaluma community, including affordable produce to low-income families and seniors for whom fresh, locally grown food would otherwise be inaccessible.

Formed in 2006, Petaluma Bounty’s programs include a network of community gardens throughout Petaluma to increase food self-sufficiency and strengthen community: Bounty Hunters – a community food gleaning program that collects fresh, surplus food from backyard gardens, farms and businesses and distributes it to food pantries and senior centers; the Bounty Community Farm – an educational urban farm growing sustainably- farmed food for the community and teaching sustainable agriculture to students, interns and the general public; the Bounty Box Program/PLAY (Petaluma Loves Active Youth) collaboration with Petaluma Health Center.

Yuba advocates the use of bicycles as transportation through the design and manufacture of unique cargo bikes and accessories. The company’s mission is to transform lives, cultures, and reshape infrastructure. To learn more, visit www.yubabikes.com.

The Lagunitas Brewery and Beer Sanctuary is located at 1280 North McDowell Blvd. in Petaluma.
